List three jobs you’d consider pursuing if money didn’t matter.

It’s hard to answer what jobs I’d pursue if money didn’t matter. The truth is, the work I dream about still needs resources. Helping the homeless with food and shelter isn’t just a gesture. It’s a full system that requires funding, space, and people. I’d love to be part of that work. I want to not just hand out meals but also create places of dignity and safety. But without money, how do you build something lasting? That’s the tension—wanting to give, knowing that giving takes more than good intentions.

Another role I’d take on is building schools and job programs for students, especially those who feel forgotten after graduation. I’d want to create spaces where young people can explore who they are, not just who they’re told to be. Education should be more than tests—it should be a launchpad. But again, that work needs buildings, mentors, supplies, and time. It’s not a solo mission. It’s a community effort, and communities need support to thrive.

The third job is the most impossible, but maybe the most important: stopping war. Not just the fighting, but the fear, the displacement, the silence that follows. I’d want to work toward peace in places where people have forgotten what peace feels like. That’s not a job with a title—it’s a calling. But even peace work needs funding, strategy, and protection. You can’t walk into a war zone with hope alone. You need tools, allies, and a plan.

So when people ask what I’d do if money didn’t matter, I hesitate. Because the jobs I care about—the ones that change lives—aren’t free. They’re rooted in compassion, yes, but they also need structure. I don’t dream of luxury or status. I dream of impact. If I ever get the chance to do these things, I want to do them well. I need the right support, not just the right heart.
