Cucumber Citrus Glow Recipe: Refreshing Hydration

Some days call for quiet clarity. Not caffeine. Not sugar. Just something fresh, alive, and kind to your body. This drink is my go-to when I want to feel hydrated, nourished, and gently awake. It’s not a detox. It’s not a cleanse. It’s a moment of presence in a glass.
I call it the Cucumber Citrus Glow. It’s crisp, cooling, and layered with subtle brightness. The drink that feels like a deep breath.

Cucumber Citrus Glow

Ingredients

  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • A few sprigs of fresh mint
  • strawberries, sliced
  • sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional, for warmth)
  • 2 cups cold water or coconut water
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add cucumber, lemon, mint, strawberries and ginger to a pitcher.
  2. Pour in water or coconut water. Let it infuse for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Serve over ice. Sip slowly. Let it be a pause.

Why I Love It

  • Cucumber hydrates and cools.
  • Lemon adds vitamin C and brightness.
  • Mint soothes and refreshes.
  • Strawberries contain anthocyanins and ellagic acid, which help fight oxidative stress and reduce inflammation.
  • Ginger grounds and warms, if you choose to include it.
  • Coconut water offers electrolytes and a gentle sweetness.
This isn’t just about ingredients—it’s about intention. I make this when I want to feel clear, not rushed. When I want to honor my body without demanding anything from it.
