Savor the Story, Stir the Soul

Golden Cauliflower Comfort Soup

When the weather cools and the days feel a little slower, I always reach for a pot of something warm and grounding. This cauliflower soup is simple, fragrant, and full of gentle flavor — the kind of bowl that soothes you from the inside out. With soft vegetables, warm spices, and a clean broth base, it’s nourishing without being heavy.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower, chopped
  • Chicken broth
  • Celery, sliced
  • Onion, chopped
  • Garlic, minced
  • Carrots, sliced
  • Fresh chives, chopped
  • Black pepper
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • A little turmeric

How to Make It

  1. Start the broth.
Pour your chicken broth into a pot and bring it to a gentle simmer. Season with black pepper, a sprinkle of Old Bay, and just a touch of turmeric for warmth and color.
  2. Prepare the vegetables.
Chop the cauliflower into small florets. Slice the celery and carrots. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  3. Build the flavor.
Add the cauliflower, celery, onion, garlic, and carrots to the simmering broth. Let everything cook until the vegetables soften and the broth turns golden from the turmeric.
  4. Finish with chives.
Once the soup is tender and fragrant, sprinkle in fresh chopped chives for brightness and a clean herbal lift.

Serve & Enjoy
Ladle into your favorite bowl and enjoy the steam rising up — a simple, golden soup that feels like comfort in its purest form. Perfect for cool weather, quiet evenings, or anytime you want something warm and nourishing without fuss.
